UrSPI representatives actively participated in the intensive training organized by the British Council in Tashkent.
The British Council held an intensive training on the topic “Principles of Continuous Professional Development of English Language Teachers” (Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia) at the Uzbek State University of World Languages. The head of the Department of "Foreign Philology" of Urgench State Pedagogical Institute F.Radjapova and the teacher of the department M.Khudayberganova actively participated in the training and were awarded a special diploma.
The training was aimed at improving the skills of English language teachers, and 160 teachers had the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and skills within the framework of the project. As part of the program, foreign experts Thom Kiddle, Emma-Jayne Robinson, Lisa Mann, Jamilya Gulyamova and Saida Irgasheva shared their skills and experience with the participants.
During the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Department of Foreign Philology of Urgench State Pedagogical Institute and the Department of Uzbek and Foreign Languages of the Namangan State Pedagogical Institute on educational, methodological, and research areas for 2024-2025.
This project is an important step towards further improving the English teacher training system in Uzbekistan and bringing it into line with international standards.
