THE RECTOR’S MEETINGS WITH FACULTY MEMBERS, ORGANIZED BY FACULTIES, HAVE BEGUN.

The rector’s meetings with faculty members, organized by faculties, have begun.

Since the beginning of the year, UrSPI Rector Feruza Madrahimova has been reviewing presentations by deans on the work carried out and future plans of each faculty. As part of these presentations, meetings with faculty teaching staff have also been scheduled.

At present, the rector is meeting with the leadership and academic staff of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences.

During the open dialogue, current issues in educational, research, teaching, and mentoring activities, existing challenges, and achieved results are discussed in detail. Priority tasks planned for 2026 for the departments of Natural Sciences, Physics and Astronomy, Mathematics and Computer Technologies, and Technological Education are also being defined.

During the discussion, special attention was given to the following issues and a number of important proposals were put forward:
— joining the international Erasmus Mundus project on academic staff exchange and establishing systematic activities within the project at the institute;
— further enhancing the faculty’s scientific potential and creating broader opportunities for research activities for academic staff;
— expanding the involvement of foreign professors and lecturers in teaching activities;
— increasing the quantity and quality of scientific articles indexed in the Scopus international database within the faculty’s publishing activities;
— discussing the transformation of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences into the Higher Pedagogical School of Exact and Natural Sciences starting from the 2026–2027 academic year and the measures to be undertaken in this regard.
