REPRESENTATIVES OF UrSPI TOOK PART IN THE NATIONAL FORUM DEDICATED TO THE MODERNIZATION OF THE PRESETT SYSTEM, HELD IN COOPERATION WITH THE BRITISH COUNCIL.


Representatives of UrSPI Took Part in the National Forum on Modernizing the PRESETT System in Cooperation with the British Council

The British Council’s office in Uzbekistan continues to contribute to national reforms aimed at modernizing the Pre-Service Teacher Training (PRESETT) system and to support the nationwide network of English language teachers.

The forum was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology of Urganch State Pedagogical Institute, Acting Professor F. Abdullayeva, as well as department lecturers N. Ataboyeva and M. Khudayberganova.

On January 6–7, 2026, in cooperation with the British Council, representatives from more than 50 public and private higher education institutions involved in the training of current and prospective English language teachers in Uzbekistan gathered at the National Forum to discuss priority areas, challenges, and issues related to the modernization of the PRESETT system.

During the forum, participants were also offered training sessions focused on reflective practice, inclusive education, and strengthening the activities of the PRESETT community of practice.
