An era when opportunities seek out youth: a new work system and a decisive step towards efficiency

Yesterday, the open dialogue of the Head of State with young people opened the door to new opportunities, and the attention paid to young people showed that it is rising to a practical and strategic level. At the meeting, the President put forward many initiatives for young people. In particular, investments were allowed for innovative startup projects of young people, the “Step into the Future” project was further expanded, billions of loans were allocated for young entrepreneurs, preferential loans for entrepreneurs who hire 5 graduates, scholarships for internships for university graduates through the “My First Profession” program, grants for the best volunteer projects of young people, monthly payments for creativity to talented writers through the “Development of Reading Culture” fund, and a number of other initiatives.
Most importantly, every Thursday of the week, “Youth Day” will be held in ministries, departments, and khokimiyats. Seeing these opportunities, I suddenly remembered the times when we were students 20 years ago, when even a fraction of these opportunities did not exist, and then young people themselves were looking for opportunities... but today opportunities are looking for and finding young people. In my opinion, it would not be an exaggeration to say that these opportunities are not just support measures, but a development model that combines education, innovation, entrepreneurship and employment into a single system.
Today, higher education institutions should become not only a place where ideas are born, startups are formed, and students should become an environment where professional competence, practical skills and competitiveness in the labor market are ensured. In this regard, the Head of our State noted that the issue of ensuring the employment of graduating students is the most urgent and important task facing rectors today. Indeed, the employment of each graduate, their adaptation to the profession, and finding their own path in life are becoming a criterion for the effectiveness of each higher educational institution.
Today, another important task in ensuring the employment of students and supporting them is to turn universities into innovation centers, to form a startup environment in each department and direction, to implement students' innovative ideas in practice, and to create conditions for expanding the commercialization of their developments. Because the success of each young person is, first of all, the success of the university where he studies.
Each opportunity that is created will certainly be the foundation for tomorrow's results of the youth of our New Uzbekistan. During yesterday's dialogue, the Head of State listened to the proposals and opinions of talented young people who have achieved great success. Their ambition and goals are very big... from the steps taken here to the Nobel Prize, the goal of flying into space, to the Khorezm performance of 10-year-old Otamurod in our national art, which gave everyone a good mood. Our youth once again showed that they are a strong, educated, globally-minded, enterprising generation.
Of course, opportunity and initiative, combined with responsibility, serve great results. Today's initiatives and reforms also require a new approach, openness, speed and effectiveness from every leader. In particular, the tasks set by our President in the dialogue set a serious standard of responsibility for rectors, which means the need to transition to a new work system. In this sense, for the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute, this dialogue is the beginning of a stage of in-depth analysis and new approaches.
