A REPUBLICAN SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE WAS HELD AT UrSPI


A Republican scientific and practical conference was held at UrSPI .

Today, on February 19, a Republican scientific and practical conference entitled “The Role of the Khorezm School of Epic Storytelling in the Development of Uzbek Folklore” was held at UrSPI. The conference was dedicated to the scientific heritage of the versatile scholar Safarboy Ro‘zimboyev — Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, and Honored Worker of Public Education of Uzbekistan — who made a significant contribution to the study and development of Khorezm epic traditions.

The conference was opened by the Rector of UrSPI, Professor Feruza Madraximova. Among the participants were Gavhar Ibodullayeva, Head of the Khorezm Regional Department of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan; Professor Gavhar Eshchanova; as well as scholars from various higher education institutions, including Professor Sarvar Ro‘zimboyev, Professor Abdulla O‘razbayev, Professor Nasiba Sobirova, Associate Professor Marg‘uba Matquliyeva, and others, who delivered scientific presentations.

Representatives of Ege University (Turkey), Urgench State University, the Folklore Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Karakalpak State University, Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute, Urgench RANCH University, and UrSPI — including professors, doctoral students, and independent researchers — also participated with their academic papers.

The Republican scientific and practical conference serves to strengthen scientific cooperation in the field of folklore studies and to promote in-depth research into the historical and theoretical aspects of the Khorezm epic storytelling school.
