TODAY, IN THE CITY OF SAMARKAND, AT THE SAMARKAND STATE UNIVERSITY OF ARCHITECTURE AND CONSTRUCTION, A MEETING WAS HELD WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF ALL RECTORS OF THE REPUBLIC, DEDICATED TO DISCUSSING A DRAFT DECREE AIMED AT ADVANCING THE SPHERE OF HIGHER EDUCATION, SCIENCE, AND INNOVATION TO A NEW STAGE.

Today, in the city of Samarkand, at the Samarkand State University of Architecture and Construction, a meeting was held with the participation of all rectors of the republic, dedicated to discussing a draft decree aimed at advancing the sphere of higher education, science, and innovation to a new stage of development.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Sirojev, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongirotboy Sharipov, as well as other officials.

The meeting began with an organizational matter. In particular, Feruza Madraximova, appointed as the rector of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Beruni, was introduced to the community of rectors.

The meeting also addressed priority tasks aimed at improving university governance, enhancing the quality of education, developing science and innovation, and strengthening the international competitiveness of higher education institutions.

During the discussions, rectors put forward a number of proposals and initiatives.
