SHIRINJON YULDOSHEVA, A STUDENT OF URGANCH STATE PEDAGOGICAL INSTITUTE, BECOMES ASIA CHAMPION IN JUDO!

From July 27 to 30, the Asia Open Cup was held in our capital, where Urganch State Pedagogical Institute's student Shirinjon Yuldosheva from the Physical Culture and Sports Department won a gold medal in the 78 kg weight category.

During the 4-day Asia Open Cup, more than 600 athletes from Uzbekistan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan participated in wrestling.

Our youth finished first in the overall team standings at the Asia Open Cup:

1. Uzbekistan: 🥇11 gold medals, 🥈12 silver medals, 🥉18 bronze medals;

2. Kyrgyzstan: 🥇1 gold medal, 🥈1 silver medal, 🥉2 bronze medals;

3. Turkmenistan: 🥇1 gold medal, 🥈1 silver medal;

4. Tajikistan: 🥇1 gold medal, 🥉6 bronze medals;

5. Kazakhstan: 🥉2 bronze medals.

It should be noted that 41 of our judokas were able to qualify for the championship.
