The article published in the "Caucasian Entomological Bulletin" (https://en.ceb.ssc-ras.ru/yelektronnaja_versija-335382387/ceb_volume_19_issue_1_2023/) published the results of a coleopteristic expedition conducted from the west of Uzbekistan in 2021-2023. The main focus of the article is on the family of black beetles (tenebrionidae).
The lead author of the article is Norbek Bekchanov (https://www.facebook.com/norbek.bekchanov.75), a young scientist-coleopterologist and basic doctoral student of the Mamun Academy; the co-authors are M.V.Nabozhenko, a scientist of the Dagestan State University, and Kh.U.Bekchanov, a scientist of the Urgench State Pedagogical Institute.
At the time of writing, 79 species of black beetles from the west of our country (Khorezm region and Karakalpakstan) have been registered.
Among these species 4 taxa are new for science.

2 new species were recorded for Central Asia, 3 for Uzbekistan and 2 for the West of Uzbekistan.
We sincerely congratulate with this great news first of all zoologists of Uzbekistan, as well as young scientists-pioneers and co-authors! The authorship by Uzbek scientists of new species discovered from the land of Uzbekistan is a source of pride for all of us!
