Kevin McCoy, Head of the Regional English Language Office (RELO) at the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, and his "English Language Fellow (ELF)," "Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA), English Speaking Nation (ESN)," and Access Microscholarship Program Assistant Coordinator Umida Boltaeva APPLYED .
During the visit, the RELO team planned to meet with the administration of the institute to discuss potential projects, organize workshops on teacher training opportunities and English language resources.
The guests were first received by the rector. In the meeting, opinions were expressed on many issues, such as the scientific potential of the institute, mainly the realization of extensive work on English language topics, student and faculty exchange.
As you know, Alberto Balam Navarro-Medina, a volunteer member of the Association of English Language Teachers, organized by the U.S. Embassy in Uzbekistan, organizes daily English courses for students of our institute. During the meeting, comments and suggestions were made about Alberto Balam Navarro-Medina's current volunteer activities at the institute.
At the meeting, the RELO team met the faculty and students of the Department of General Philology, Faculty of Philology and Arts, the youth were presented with the Forum magazine and many other souvenirs. They spoke in detail about the programs developed by the U.S. Embassy for teachers and students.
