Department of Technological Education
The Department of Technological Education is a structural unit of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at Urgench State Pedagogical Institute. It carries out various activities, including educational, educational-methodical, scientific-methodical, and research works, as well as organizational, moral-educational, and cultural activities. The department is also involved in staff training, advanced training, and retraining.
The department includes the head of the department, professors, associate professors, senior teachers, teachers (assistants), trainee teachers, independent researchers, as well as the head of the cabinet and laboratory assistants.
Currently, 11 professors and teachers are working at the department, including 1 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pedagogy, 4 senior teachers, and 6 teachers.
The Department of Technological Education has training workshops in the following areas:

"Fabric processing" and "Food product processing" for the “Service industry” specialty;

"Wood and metalworking" workshops for the "Technology and Design" specialty. In these workshops, students are trained in fabric processing, food product processing, and wood and metalworking using both manual and mechanical methods, ensuring they acquire competencies in these areas.
The graduates of the Bachelor’s program 60111300 - Technological Education will receive a "Teacher of Technology" degree. The areas of professional activity of the diploma holder are as follows:
• Carrying out pedagogical activities as a teacher of technology and career guidance in general secondary education and specialized schools in accordance with the professional standards of teachers.
• Carrying out pedagogical activities as a teacher of specialized subjects in secondary vocational and professional education.
• Carrying out pedagogical activities as a circle leader in out-of-school education.
