Urgench State Pedagogical Institute-Departments

Urgench State Pedagogical Institute was established on the basis of bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the field of pedagogy of Urgench State University according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan: “Measures to improve the quality of pedagogical education and develop the activities of higher educational institutions training pedagogic personnel” on June 21, 2022 DP-289.
The department of "Foreign Philology" of the Faculty of Philology and History of Urgench State Pedagogical Institute was established on September 4, 2023.
The head of the "Foreign Philology" department is Khujayeva Sayyora Sotimboevna.
The department includes an only bachelor’s program: 60111800- Foreign language and literature (English).
A total of 412 students study in the field of Foreign language and literature (English).
There are 20 professors at the department. One of them is a Doctor of philosophy (PhD), 2 of them are teachers and 17 of them are trainee-teachers. Currently, 11 professors work in full-time, 1 works in an internal part-time and 8 of them work in an external part-time staff.
The department has cooperative relations with many local and foreign higher educational institutions. Including: Istanbul University of Turkiye, Urgench State University, Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami.
